I have always been drawn to storytelling, believing in the ability of shared experiences to unite people. This is the root of filmmaking. As a composer I am compelled to serve the story and close the emotional gap between spectator and screen through music.

In my writing, I primarily focus on a mixture of modern and classical styles, often emphasizing my roots in folk guitar music when appropriate. Folk music speaks to a person’s base desires, and when paired with filmic character development it can be a powerful tool in establishing empathy.

After composing a memorable and atmosphere-appropriate theme, I realize the cue through virtual instrumentation. Much of my work incorporates a hybridization between recorded live instruments and MIDI software so as to achieve a full and honest sound.
